When Dr. George Zack announced his plans to retire in September of 2008 after 37 years of service, he outlined his final concert dates and a plan to replace the irreplaceable was initiated. While this is a bittersweet time for the entire Lexington Philharmonic family and central Kentucky community, it also marks a historical time for the Lexington Philharmonic as we embark on the second year of our conductor search.

Join us in our 2008-2009 season as Dr. Zack performs his final MasterClassics concert in September and five guest conductors take the stage in a quest for the podium of the Lexington Philharmonic Orchestra. This is an incredible challenge and an exciting time in the Philharmonic's life.

If you have any questions about the conductor search, our concerts this season, or ways you can support the conductor search, please contact us. We would love to hear from you and we value your support!
